On September 4, 2026, Rigetti's subsidiary Rigetti & Co, LLC entered an Other Transaction Agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce under the CHIPS Act for funding of up to $100 million to accelerate superconducting quantum computing R&D. $43.9 million is available on or after the award date, with subsequent tranches of $29.9 million and $26.2 million tied to milestones.
