Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account email. When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address. Sign-in is passwordless (a magic link and one-time code), so we never collect or store a password.
• Subscription details. If you subscribe to Tellvest Pro, our payment processor handles your card. We store a customer identifier and your subscription status, not your card number.
• Product activity. For account features such as watchlists, coverage requests, and your free-trial end date, we store the data needed to provide them.
• Usage analytics. We collect aggregate, privacy-friendly usage data such as page views and visitor counts, plus a first-visit referral or campaign tag kept in your browser session to understand how people find us. This is not used for advertising and is not shared across sites.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve Tellvest: to sign you in, deliver the features you use, process Pro billing, send service and account emails, diagnose errors, and understand aggregate usage. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Email and Your Choices

Most email we send is transactional, meaning it relates to your account: sign-in codes, trial reminders, watchlist digests, coverage-request updates, and billing notices. If we send product or announcement emails, each one includes an unsubscribe link, and you can turn announcements off at any time from your account page. We honor unsubscribe requests and automatically stop sending to addresses that bounce or report our mail as spam.

Cookies and Analytics

Tellvest is designed to be cookieless. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run cross-site trackers. Our analytics measure aggregate site usage only, which is why you will not see a cookie-consent banner.

Payments

Payments for Tellvest Pro are processed by Stripe. Your full card details are entered with and handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy and security standards. Tellvest does not receive or store your card number.

Service Providers

We rely on a small set of vendors to run the product, and we share only the data each one needs:

• Authentication and database hosting (for accounts and product data)
• Stripe (payment processing for Pro)
• Email delivery (for account and product emails)
• Hosting and privacy-friendly analytics
• Error monitoring (configured to scrub personal data). When an error occurs in your browser, our monitoring may capture a short, masked recording of the interaction to help us fix the bug: all on-page text is obscured before it leaves your browser, and nothing you type is captured. Nothing is recorded during normal, error-free use.

These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.

Data Sources

The financial content on Tellvest is built from publicly available materials, including SEC filings and public earnings call transcripts. We do not access or display non-public information. Analysis and sentiment scores are our own interpretation of that public material and are descriptive, not investment advice.

Data Retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, billing history).

Your Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can opt out of non-essential email at any time. To make a request, email hello@tellvest.com from the address on your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including passwordless sign-in and encrypted connections. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children’s Privacy

Tellvest is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated by email or an in-product notice.
