How to read these numbers
Challenge rate is the share of questions that pushed back, pressed for specifics or questioned management’s assumptions. It describes how questions were asked on the calls tracked here; it does not measure whether any view turned out to be right.
Rounding. Rates are rounded to whole percentages, so a small share can show as 0% even when some questions were challenging. The count beside each rate is exact; “none of N questions” means no question was challenging.
No questions recorded. “—” means there is nothing to calculate: no questions were recorded for that period on the calls tracked here. It does not mean there was no activity.
Fewer than 3 questions. A company-level rate is withheld when fewer than 3 questions were recorded for that company; the questions are still counted everywhere else.
Small samples. Profiles with fewer than 10 questions are marked Limited sample.
Reporting periods. Questions are grouped by the calendar quarter each company’s fiscal reporting period maps to, not by the date of the call. Periods without a calendar mapping are listed separately under their fiscal label.

Calendar 2026 Q2
Really good to see the guide for a triple-digit OCS revenue quarter, I think, in the current quarter
Show response
Michael confirmed the first triple-digit OCS quarter in the Q1 guide and said ultra-high-power lasers reach a triple-digit quarter in fiscal Q3.
Calendar 2025 Q3
could it even be higher I mean if we've got a really high-margin product leading to growth
Show response
Michael confirmed demand far outstrips supply even with capacity additions. Wajid added that the 40% indium phosphide capacity increase is focused on higher-margin laser chips, which will have a positive EPS effect in coming quarters.
as you increase indium phosphide capacity, the output of that, how should we think about the split between that going into components or that going into systems
Show response
Michael confirmed vast majority of capacity allocated to external component sales. Priority order: 200G EMLs, 100G EMLs, then CW lasers for internal transceiver use. Small CW allocation will eventually shift to internal consumption.
Calendar 2025 Q1
did we get an update on telecom performance in the quarter and the sort of product issue last quarter with just getting supply
Show response
Michael confirmed telecom met expectations but supply constraints persisted across pumps, tunables, and CDM. Improvements expected in Q4 with Thailand capacity additions. Wupen noted tight supply for at least next couple of quarters.
Is there an extra dozen conservatism in here or am I overthinking this
Show response
Wajid acknowledged macro uncertainty warrants prudence but confirmed demand uptick across all product lines. Capacity improvements provide buffer. New ultrafast laser products ramping in H2 CY2025.
Calendar 2024 Q3
when you make comments about 2026 and 2027 and that kind of visibility, is that all on the Datacom side
Show response
Alan candidly admitted limited telecom carrier visibility for 2026-2027. Multi-year growth expectations anchored on data center and DCI markets, not carrier telecom.
can you give me more color on the optical switch product in the data center? Like what's going to do in the data center
Show response
Chris explained optical switches enable power-efficient scaling of large data centers with lower latency versus electronic switches. MEMS-based, leveraging decades of ROADM experience.
