Earnings-call analysis · calendar 2026 Q2
What management and analysts said on calls mapped to this calendar quarter.
The biggest score gain in the group went to the company whose CEO sounded the most worried about insurance. Loews (L) rose from 5 to 7 on a call where Loews' CEO described the insurance industry as on the shakiest footing, with pricing no longer outpacing loss cost trends. Loews reported net income of $444 million, or $2.16 per share, up from $391 million, or $1.87 per share, a year earlier, and all three consolidated subsidiaries contributed. Much of the lift came from outside insurance. Loews Hotels adjusted EBITDA rose approximately 26% to $137 million, and Boardwalk contributed $100 million of net income, a 14% increase.
