Southern Copper delivered a record quarter, with net income up 67% to $1,577 million and sales up 36% to $4.3 billion as LME copper averaged $5.83 per pound (+38% YOY) and a silver byproduct boom (+158% price) lifted byproduct credits 36% to $1,189 million. Those credits pushed operating cash cost to a negative $0.11 per pound and adjusted EBITDA up 55% to $2,713 million at a 64% margin. Copper output fell 4% to 230,544 tons on lower Peruvian ore grades, though full-year copper guidance was nudged up 4,000 tons to 915,000 tons. Tia Maria advanced to 33% with first production targeted for Q3 2027 under a capital program exceeding $20.5 billion this decade.
