Sentiment · FY2026 Q2
As of FY2026 Q1, the Tellvest earnings-call sentiment score for Universal Health Services (UHS) is 7/10.
UHS delivered Q1 adjusted EPS of $5.62 with 9.6% revenue growth as the Talkspace acquisition accelerated the outpatient behavioral continuum strategy, and full-year 2026 guidance was reiterated unchanged. Flu and weather created transitory volume drag in both segments, and the exchange subsidy headwind materialized as expected. AI deployment scaled with eight revenue cycle use cases live, and significant acute care capacity was coming online during 2026. Core growth of 5% was expected for the full year with acute same-facility revenue up 6.2% excluding health plan impacts.

On August 17, 2026, Universal Health Services completed its acquisition of Talkspace, Inc. under the March 9, 2026 merger agreement. Talkspace merged with a UHS subsidiary and became an indirect wholly owned subsidiary; each Talkspace share converted into 5.25 dollars in cash. UHS funded the deal partly by borrowing 400 million dollars under a delayed draw term loan plus revolver draws.
