Lucid's first quarter of 2026, the last under interim CEO Marc Winterhoff before Silvio Napoli's arrival, paired balance-sheet progress with an operational setback. Revenue grew about 20% year-over-year to $282 million, but a temporary Gravity stop sale held deliveries flat at 3,093 despite 5,500 vehicles produced, and gross margin fell to -110.4% on fixed-cost underabsorption. Net loss was approximately $1 billion versus $366 million a year earlier, partly reflecting a $274 million unfavorable derivative fair-value change. The company strengthened liquidity with roughly $1.05 billion in fresh capital, including a $550 million PIF placement, and expanded its Uber robotaxi commitment to at least 35,000 vehicles. Citing the incoming CEO's review, management suspended prior guidance as a governance decision, deferring a full updated outlook to the Q2 call while reaffirming the Midsize and M2 ramp for 2027.
